Follow the Cash
Comment: It seems like a while ago now, but 7 Layer are just beginning to bear the fruits of our first foray into cash logistics exhibitionism… erm I mean participating in our first exhibition as an exhibitor rather than a delegate. Company representatives have attended a plethora of the better known industry events over the years, but we have never committed to showing our wares on a stand.
September 3rd and 4th 2015 was the University of West of England’s inaugural Follow the Cash Conference. Three of us manned the booth for two days decked in our patriotic corporate colours, schmoozing with retail suppliers, retailers, central banks and industry suppliers alike. The event was a relatively small and select affair, but proved very beneficial for us as we were able to present our recent developments to a concentrated representation of our target audience.
Our stand was minimalistic and effective, showcasing two of our new solutions. Hestia, our retail software, which has been specifically designed to simplify, streamline and drive cash processes in the back office environment and Note Lifecycle Solution (NLS), a central bank tool that doesn’t simply answer the questions you have, but highlights the questions you didn’t know you should be asking. Scrolling presentations posed relevant questions to attract people onto the stand and then our captive audience enjoyed live and animated demonstrations.
On the next stand was Gunnebo, a company with which we have now struck up an excellent working relationship. Tellermate, the Cash Scales and Intelligent Till Drawer organisation, were also exhibiting and we have since ramped up our activity with them, supplying them with a personalised version of Hestia and some bespoke software for the till drawer project.
The investment was certainly worthwhile as part of our productisation plan for both solutions and we look forward to continuing the positive marketing and promotion of the company and our portfolio going forward.
